What is Connected Health?

This quarter, in our Employee Spotlight, we interviewed Monica Dubroja, Manager of Clinical Services at 100Plus, a Connect America company. Learn more about Monica’s role and what she likes most about working at 100Plus in our spotlight interview below:

Describe a little bit about your background and how you came to join the team at 100Plus, a Connect America company?

I grew up in a small town in Western Canada, Lethbridge, Alberta, where I graduated with a BA in Psychology, and a vision of becoming a psychologist to help people. However, my career took a different direction, leading me into the field of health and wellness. Helping people has always been my passion, and over the years, I’ve developed and managed effective health and wellness programs for patients, clinics, and medical practices. At 100plus, I’ve been able to fulfill my passion by making a meaningful difference in the health, well-being, and quality of life of patients.

Explain a little about your current role.

I have been with 100Plus for nearly four years, during which time I have taken on various roles. Currently, I serve as the Manager of Clinical Services, overseeing a team of nurses and medical assistants. Our team collaborates closely with our practice partners to monitor patients enrolled in remote patient monitoring (RPM) and chronic care management (CCM). This role feels like the perfect fit for me and is exactly where I need to be because it is patient focused.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

I enjoy many things, but mostly, I enjoy the messages my team shares about their conversations with the patients. For example, recently, a patient told one of the clinical team members, “I was so depressed a few moments ago. I think God sent you to me to make me happy and whole again, and for that, I thank you!”

Can you tell us a little about the new clinical monitoring team at 100Plus?

Our team is rapidly expanding. We now have 5 RNs and 14 MAs working together to monitor patients using the 100Plus platform and devices. The clinical team handles daily monitoring, follow-up calls, checking in, triage, care coordination and communicating feedback to physician offices and healthcare entities.

Tell us about a professional success you’re most proud of.

Helping to build and shape this clinical team at 100Plus to be the best we can be.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? (hobbies, interests, etc.)

I love to travel, hike, bike, exercise, and practice yoga. I am also taking dance lessons, watch out, Dancing with the Stars!
